Frankie Hickman studied A levels at Tamworth Sixth Form and took a year out to gain experience in the dance industry.
Whilst with us Frankie was well known for his talent in dance performing in West Side Story, Dance showcases, an NIA Opening Ceremony for a World Class sporting event, professional curtain raisers and Dance festivals during his time with us.
He also won the best dressed person at the Prom to his delight!
Frankie also worked with other schools in Tamworth to encourage more young men to take part in dance. Miss Coutts (pictured with Frankie) has been working with Frankie during his gap year to mentor him to give him the best chances possible.
During his year out, Frankie built his dance portfolio performing with Youth Companies, taking part in dance competitions and auditioning for the Matthew Bourne Company.
We are pleased and proud to share that Frankie was offered two places in Contemporary Dance Schools in Leeds and London this year. 1,600 apply for these prestigious Dance Schools each year and there are only 50 places available. Frankie has accepted his place at the London Contemporary Dance School and leaves Tamworth to start his road to success in London in September.
Frankie shows that with determination, talent and the right opportunity, your dreams can come true.
